I would like a George Forman grill, thats cooks my steaks exactly how i like them, makes a proper cup of tea, irons my clothes and also gives massages and blow jobs on request but i have a girlfriend for that...so the second one please.

Im into pretty much any genre bar role playing and real time strategy games. Im more of a casual gamer so just like to pick up and play so beat em ups and racers tend to do it for me, although if a game can hold my attention i do like to get stuck into a game and see it through to completion.
Tbh then I'd decide based on which controller you prefer and whether you're likely to want to play BluRay anytime soon.

Always been more comfortable with the PS controller having owned a PS2 and found the xbox controller to be quite large and uncomfortable but i guess it just takes a bit of getting used to.

Do both consoles come with wireless pads and rumble/vibration etc???

As for BluRay, i havnt quite looked into what all the fuss is about, plus i have a shit tv, so as long as it plays games im happy...

I used to have a PS2 + PS1 for that matter. The X360 pad has no more or no less buttons than the PS3 one, its just shapped a bit more erganomically, I find that when using the PS3 pad my fingers slip of the analoge sticks, yet the 360 pad it never happens. The PS3 pads come with sixaxis as standard (Tilt pad to turn etc) but are VERY light, which is another factor. I don't feel like I'm holding anything. The rumble PS3 pads (which are bear mulah) obviously feel heavier, but you loose out on the sixaxis. 360 pads comes as rumble standard and wireless. The cables you get to charge it with are longer like a normal wired PS2, the PS3 cables are tiny and if you want to play and charge you have to sit infront of your tv like your 5 years old again. I don't know if you have played with the 360 pad but as a hardcore PS fanboy the 360 smacked in every way.

The graphics too me are brighter and sharper, the online service shits all over the PS3's oxfam internet. Yeah you have to pay for it but is 30 quid a year going to break the pocket, thats less than 3 quid a month. The games are better in general as said before, HALO + L4D and other exclooosives.

My mates PS3 broke on him on saturday and because its past its warrenty he has just had to fork out 145 quid to get it fixed, plus it takes 2 weeks to come. 360 on the otherhand, yeah your more likely to get RROD but they get it fixed within days and you dont have a hefty bill in your pocket.

Dont care about home entertainment and you just want to fucking play good games, go for the 360.

And dont think im a fan boy because im not, I used to be ALL about PS and the PS3 aint having it. It's a bit like FIFA VS PES, PES dominated then FIFA came up and cleared shit up. Which therefore I present to you,

Yeah I had a 360 around launch time and it died TWICE! The replacement they sent me actually died no less than one day after arrival. This however does not happen as often due to some hardware fixes.

With the PS3 rumble controllers, six axis is in fact not lost. I know because I own a PS3 and I use both the rumble function and six axis for Killzone 2. The graphics on PS3 are simply stunning on a HDTV.

Basically the only thing that should dictate your decision is controller and game preference. The only exclusives that even matter for each console are as follows:

Halo 3 and left for dead=360

Killzone2, Little big planet, and Metal Gear Solid for PS3

anyone taken into account the price difference?
i can't tell the fucking difference. 360 has better controller shape, longer charging wires and doesn't look like something out of tron, and its a shitload cheaper.

so, unless you consider that the minor perks on ps3 are worth like £100 then get an xbox

the design of the playstation controller is perfection imo
xbox nailed it with everything else tho

'minor percs' like wifi, free playstation network, blue ray drive etc. probably worth the extra cash in my opinion!

I bought a PS3 on release date, had it for under a year then sold it for an XBox, it was fucking boring. All the hyped up promised stuff was delayed to ridicilous levels, games that were on both consoles ran poorly with shit frame rates on the PS3 and the online was nothing compared to Xbox Live.
Spot on

The 1st year was the worst... nothing came out i'd agree with you there, but check it out now. Wow. Shuda gave it more than a year tbh, previous consoles followed the same sort of pattern.. don't really start to flourish untill 2nd year in.. shit look at the PS2.. turned out to be one of the most succesful consoles of all time (imo anyway)

This (more or less) have been rectified... plus you should note it was a fault of the devs, not the console.

Live still beats PSN by a mile... but PSN has stabilised itself and is actually running great atm.
