Where Do You Separate Coincidence And Insight?

In a world where skepticism overrides mysticism (in my mind, at least)...
how can you separate strange experiences from simply coincidence? is it my mind playing tricks on me, or is it something more?
lay it on me, jaded and tinfoil alike...

Logic and reasoning while accepting that there are just greater things occurring we will just never understand.

the world is full of patterns, everyone interprets them differently but none are completely right or wrong. your mind isn't playing tricks on you, you just understand another way of seeing something, doesn't mean you shouldn't be grounded though.
I like to toy with those ideas but deep down it's all sitting on a substrate of logic, reason and rationality because that makes the more sense to me (in most situations

)
also, there is no spoon

When you live your life with an appreciation of coincidences and their meanings, you connect with the underlying field of infinite possibilities

the human mind is too limited to ever grasp what's going on a far deeper and more significant level. i suppose people come close...but what i'm saying is that to me, while reason and logic are extremely useful to an extent, they basically serve as some sort of barrier. chalking every strange occurrence down to coincidence prevents us from looking at this on a larger scale and actually thinking of making connections between events we may have never made before. is it simply coincidence, or is there something actually going on here that we should be taking note of?
or does it mean that are experiences are in fact limited? we think that certain strange events occurring or reoccurring have meaning, but it could just mean that only so many situations and variations of situations can happen, therefore whatever happened was bound to happen anyway.
if that even makes sense.
but i'm still tripped out by deja vu...shits weird.

If it's when you're tripping, that's naturally to be expected from the role dopamine plays in awareness and the role 'being high' plays on dopamine
A lot of the time I tend to go with the attitude 'if life was different it'd still seem normal anyway'. To quote something from semi-yoof... The simpsons episode in which they contemplate having 5 instead of 4 fingers

coincidences are just connections we can't see/make
another one of those terms meant to give the frightening unknown a more friendly dimension, same as soul, god and other myths

Well first of all "Insight" is just the Understanding of things, and how it truly is and relates to other things.
The more Insight you have into life, the more you realize the connection between things--which means somethings are neither Spooky Happenings, or Pure Coincidence. With "Insight" you could disern how (C) has happened, because (B) happened earlier, and before that (A).
"It always rains when my GF comes over!11 What is the Universe telling me???" With Insight, you may figure out that on cloudy days your GF feels lonely and seeks company, and rain generally accompanies cloudy days. It does not mean anything beyond that.
"Me and my best friend always wear the same colored shoes!!!OMG11" Insight will tell you, that, you obviously share something mentally similar with each other which is why you're drawn together as friends, BEST friends, to begin with. They understand your moods and feelings and humor. So when you wake up that day and see the sunny weather and think about the outdoor party you're going to that night, theres a good chance they're at home doing the same thing, their brains calculating the same info as you, and as the two of you are again, similar mentally, would arrive at wearing shoes, to lets face it, probably THE SAME PARTY. You are not connected via some 11th dimensional vortex or psychic powers, you two think a like, and shop alike, and feel alike when it comes to clothes.
Life = Causes and Consequences. Some sequences overlap to form Coincidence, but it need not be either extreme of Fate/Aliens vs Luck.

love the input, and please keep it coming,
but my trouble lies within not knowing what is truly a coincidence, regardless of how strongly i feel to the contrary :/
there are so many factors that go into every experience, discerning mysticism (in this case, something supernatural/spiritual that is the only cause rather than my judgement) from random similarities is quite frustrating

why don't you just flat out tell us what happened
