hey Guys once again im going WtF so i was about remix song by chase status 'time' and when i opened the pdf which said the key of the song was 'A'. i had heard this before in video tuturial but didnt understand how knowing the key helps the remix but im guessing the key would be the tone of the song. PLS HELP i want to remix this song can someone explain how i should go about while using the key

You need to learn some basic music theory to understand keys and their relationship to a song.

The key is the root note of the melodic aspects of the song... the included it because you should work in A and tones which mesh well with A harmonically. basically, if they made the lead's for the song in the key of A, and you slap a bassline after them in BSharp, its going to sound all kindsa out of place. Make some kind of sense?

Just wikipedia 'A major' and it tells you what notes are in that scale. There is a scale for every note ie B major, C# Major, etc, and there are also 'minor' scales for every key as well ie B minor and C# minor, it's just a group of 7 notes that harmonically soud well or fit with each other which more or less fully comes into play when writing chords.
