Great news for producers (like me) that DJ, too. Now, I can use my boss Sony Vaio live. Know when it's set for release?

Looks wank. FL is going in the wrong direction IMO and I doubt I'll ever 'upgrade' from 9.

I disagree...but more and more, I find myself not using such a complex DAW with all those bells and whistles and just using audacity for production and sound-design. It can feel good to get down to audio-level manipulation like that.

It's not like you have to use all those bells and whistles and upgrades are free. But I do agree FL could use some more precise audio editing

Yeah. After offering free upgrades there's not a lot of incentive left to add a lot of in depth stuff, just bits and pieces like this and sell lame-ish plugins imo, though Vocodex was nice. They should do a huge update and charge for it, maybe port it to something other than Delphi. I think that's what is holding it back in a lot of areas. The whole audio editing implementation is like one huge workaround type thing. I remember it took 'em a long time to figure out how to do that.
At least you can have several versions installed at once.

What's the problem with edison, in your opinion?

Edison is not the problem, edison is great, fav audio editor. But working with audio in the playlist is like working with playdoh, very low resolution.

the new performance mode is just awesome, combine it with a launchpad, and it IMHO shits all over my ableton live intro
but i agree that there is certain areas where FL needs updates

Ableton live would be superior to everyone other plugin if it was 64 bit. No idea what they were thinking on that one. *sigh*

you can get better resolution by changing timebase ppq in project general settings

Used to be able to do that, now it eats so much cpu I don't even consider it.
