I use Reason 5 and I was wondering if anybody has any patches or can help me make a bass sound similar to this:

Most tutorials on dubstep production in Reason are for normal, crappy sounding basses, but I'd like to know how to make a heavier one as this is.

You cannot make those basses in reason 5,you need reason 2 or 6 at least,sorry man.

Thanks, but that seems easier said than done. How would I go about "chopping" it up? Just place short notes of it on the piano roll (or whatever it's considered)?

You could do that or you could actually chop it up, as in bounce it and chop it into pieces

Maybe I'll stick with FL Studio 11 + Massive? Would that be my best bet? Could I get some heavy Getter-type basses out of it? I believe he uses Massive, actually...

Ok, well thanks, guys. I will stick with FL Studio 11, because it is the best DAW with VSTI support, in my opinion. It's unfortunate that my version of Reason (5) does not support VSTs. I will just learn more with massive and will read up about LFO modulation, etc.
