what do you guys think

is the bass drop for this song and the vocals too low?

i was gonna bring it up a note or two, but i might leave it as is

my system is hitting the first bass note but its more of a feeling than a sound

after the tune is done i have no problem giving it out

meanwhile just so we are clear im talking low as in frequency not volume

its still a WIP

but it really drops to the bottom of what my sub can handle

and thanks in advance for any feedback

Nice tune :D I reckon the bass is alright as it is, it would rattle your chest on a big system. Maybe turn the bass up a bit? but then again I'm always sayin that :P

I wish had my hr824 here then I could probably advise you more. It's so annoyin, I got it few days before I had to come to germany, it's just sittin in England brand new in the box  but I'm goin back on the 24th :D plenty of bass for me then.

yeah its gonna be bassier after its mastered a little better,

i just dud the mini mix to see if other people are hearing the bass, or if its just too low

im listening on computer speakers, with a sub.
they usually kick pretty well, and can shake the doors when i turn them up.

i am not hearing the bass.
so i would say, yes, too low.
maybe not too low on a proper system though.

its actually kicking pretty nicely here now that ive turned up the bass a bit, im workig with a DLS-R 18inch sub, so im just gonna keep it this low and hope it cranks even harder on a proper system

thanks for all the feedback

i'll probably get flamed for this, but broadly speaking i'd say that there is little point having much below, say, 30hz or so in yr track as A) most club systems will not be able to reproduce those frequencies B) it will just eat up headroom in yr track and C) if it is going to be pressed to vinyl then the mastering engineer will probably high pass it at around 30hz anyway so the needle doesn't skip.

much better to make sure your bass sound has the right warmth and texture (valves!) and let the speakers do the work IMO.

oh, and make sure yr kicks and bass sounds are all in mono :)

(the 30hz figure was a guess btw, let me check it)

To me the whole tune sounds really toppy - no warmth at all, and not just in the lowest regions.
