Fell in love with Hip Hop back in '86
so that was the soundtrack of my teenage years and beyond
and how my record collection first developed
can't really be arsed with Hip Hop nowadays
just check for a few artists and buy the odd release

My musical evolution goes like this...
1. What my parents listened to(classic Rock, Jazz, Country, pop)
2. Industrial/Rock/Metal/Punk
3. Garage/House/Techno/Progressive/whatever was at the rave
4. Garage/House/Techno
5. Dubstep
6. Dubstep, Garage/house/techno
for a while, I went to strictly dubstep and didn't listen to much else. Now I'm back into the bassy house that is coming out, with sprinklings of garage and more techno influenced dub riddims
my favs now are Martyn, Andy Stott, etc.

When I was young it was all the stuff my folks played me, mostly rock. Then I just listened to general pop music up until the age of 12. Then I got into metal big time. This lasted a couple of years until I discovered electronic music and ecstasy and starting listening to everything.

i was brought up with stuff like ry cooder and tom waits, talking heads etc. my dad's kraftwerk records were my first taste of electronic music. i started to buy fairly mainstream dance comps when i was about nine/ten, and then i started listening to fair bit of rock stuff when i got to high school and ska which i still listen to. i dabbled with drum n bass for a bit as well. when i was about 15 i completely submerged into dance music, techno and house. i mostly listen to dubstep now but i still like hawtin, booka shade, dubfire, laurent garnier etc

I was raised on 80's and 90's hip hop.
First album I got was some old hip hop compilation I picked up from our local library which had Run DMC's 'My Adidas' on it. Then I bought Ice T's 'Home Invasion' album and was hooked...

i grew up on rock/blues/jazz from my dad and soul/reggae from my mum...then from there i moved onto hip hop in a big way...then garage/house/techno...then d'n'b...and then dubstep...and plenty of other stuff inbetween along the way...
i basically listen to anything and everything and have always been that way...i go through phases where i'll listen to alot of hip hop and then alot of dubstep or whatever but there is always something new just round the corner...
