Im from the states so I was introduced to Dubstep first. Then became aware of Grime. It seems that the only difference is that Dubstep has more development involved in the production. There is buildups and drops as apossed to Grime which seems to be focused on loops. Is there any other differences which I am not aware of?

Some of the production isnt professionally engineered it seems to me....obviously thats in all genres but I notice a lot of grime is like raw and grimy. Which to me isnt necessarily a bad thing.

Grime is more focussed around MCs, although there are instrumentals, it's essentially the British extension of hiphop (fused with garage and other junglist/electronic influences), so instrumentals are the exception rather than the rule.

Dubstep is more about the instrumentals... generally higher production values, but possibly a little bit less fun... and a LOT less aggy.

yeah its a huge generalisation that ignores the input of a lot of ppl who have genuinely innovated withing dubstep, but its essentially true.

It's just cursing...on one hand it's like saying "shit" after you dropped an entire meal on the floor, or found out your girl is cheating on you (for example), or just straight cursing at somebody. I think the "clat" is cloth, "bumba" is bottom...but dont quote me on that.

When i think of uk rap (hiphop) think of forien beggaz, Skinnyman etc... These are not grime.

Grime is more of a garage based influence, faster and harder. I cant stand grime in my honest opinion. Its not the music so much, its the wanna be rudeboys that listen to it. You cant get on a bus in london these days with out some shitty grime blaring out of some girls chavvy mobile phone.

when i think uk rap i generally think shit in general so it's easy to lump them together

Shocked by the lack of knowledge, dubstep does owe a big thankyou to grime no doubt about it and anyone who thinks grime was just 15 year old kids shouting fighting talk at eachother hasnt looked into it enough, which is fair wnough if that was the impression you was on. Initially alot of grime stemmed away from Uk garage to AVOID mc's...Uk garage got all pop musicy and people wanted the dirtyness back so made stuff that wasnt friendly to the melodic party style vocals of uk garage at the time.

No doubt grime got well and truly arse raped by grime crews fighting eachother but the roots were speak for themselves.

Youngstar for instance a classic example of someone wanting to move away from the happy vocaly garage of 98-01 ish times.

Have a listen through the old all star producers, notice the names for a start were theres plenty of now dubstep names.

And anyone who says dubstep took nothing from grime after listening to this is a LIAR

in fact i am correct and you are indeed wrong

i dont deny that dubstep comes to quite a large degree from grime, but tbh you dont need to like the origins of a style of music to like it. jazz comes from gospel music, which i dont like, but i do like jazz. rock comes from blues, which im not particularly into, but i love me a bit of rock music.
